The phased array course gives students the skills needed to test butt welds in plates, pipes, and pressure vessels using manual and programmed phased arrays. The course discusses the theoretical and practical applications of phased array technology and their benefits and drawbacks. The prerequisites for applying a phased array in accordance with code requirements are also covered in the course. Our training uses all necessary equipment, including calibration blocks, validation samples, encoders, scanners for various size applications, etc., to impart the necessary understanding for onsite application. We strongly advise learners to have Level II knowledge of the UT weld examination before taking this course. There will be an exam after the course. Experienced PAUT practitioners and academic experts who have been involved in the application of PAUT will lead the training programme.
